1. Before you get out of bed in the morning, lift your lower body and rest it in your elbows. When you have achieved proper balance do a 60 second pedal motion in the air. See the illustration.
2. Release the tension in your neck joints by slowly performing head rotations. Start by touching your chin to your chest then go slowly far back left, to the back, then to your right, then back to your chest again. Go as far back as you can to remove the pressure and stretch your neck joints.
